Will I lose my bonus if I am promoted after my reenlistment?

It’s a Tier 8 bonus now, I have a school date in August. Which is pretty far from now. I’m wondering will I lose the SRB. If so happen I get promoted after I Re-enlist.
My career counselor told me, being promotable there would be no adverse action.

Your bonus is based on whatever was on your contract on the date of reenlistment. As long as you complete training and are assigned to an Airborne unit you will receive your bonus.

Refer to your SRB addendum. It lays out exactly what happens to your bonus if the terms of the addendum are not fulfilled. I doubt getting promoted is a recoupable scenario.

Roger SGT, I haven’t re-enlisted yet. But I will be sure to check that. As I plan on re-enlisting when I sign back in from leave.

Make sure the retention NCO is tracking the potential issue and don’t sign anything until you get what you want. SGT (Join to see)

Dude this happened to me. Re enlisted as a SPC (P) got promoted to E5 and had my orders cancelled for Hawaii due to me re enlisting as a 10 level. Once you become promotable you are only able to slot for a 20 level. I managed to get a 20 level slot back for Hawaii however I was extremely close to having to be needs of the army. I had a 5k bonus and I didn’t have to pay any of it back. Career counselors say it shouldn’t happen but it happened to me. Take my advice if you have enough time in your window then get promoted and then re enlist. If I knew then what I know now I’d have waited too. Good luck man.

I’m set to go to QM school In August. I’m a current MP, I have 222 promotion points, due to my current weapons score not being validated by Army. (LEWTAQ) a new MP Qual. I had 322, but lost 100, after LEWTAQ. I was told if I re-enlist before promotion. I would be fine. Cause the bonus which I’m trying to do is only a available for E-4 and below. If I get promoted before I re-enlist. That wouldn’t make me eligible for that bonus, since it isn’t being offered to E5 and up.
I think my thing is I already orders for QM school, so I wouldn’t doubt I get promoted as a MP E5, being our points aren’t too high. And for supply it’s only 40.
