For selection: It’s a whole soldier concept. Not just that you are better at one skill as a Soldier, or better at one skill over another. Knowing a bit of everything. When it is your time to shine (as a leader), then let it shine. Don’t let others control your situation, at the end of the day it is your decisions to make and yourself to accept if they were wrong/poor decisions. Be a team player and let those in leader positions do their job, give them advice but do not take control, your time will come. Be prepared to write a paper about a given subject. Don’t be afraid to write about something as long as your ideas are coherent and you have a way to back up your argument (kind of like debating but not a debate).

DLAB: There really is nothing you should do for this, the exam is a made up language and you follow the specific rules/guidelines that they give you when you answer the questions provided.

POQC: Id say let’s just take this one step at a time, POQC (officer)/POSC (enlisted) will come in its due time when you make it through selection, airborne school (if you don’t have it), orientation, language, POQC/POSC, etc. etc. For now, just focus on the physical and mental demands for selection. We can discuss MOS training once you get through the initial steps.

Best of luck!

Bust your ass in knowing everything you know as 11B! Work on researching skills, thinking outside of the box (working with little guidance) and public speaking skills. I started 11B and went 37F too.
