My buddy has a friend that came back from deployment weeks ago and has to go to BA this weekend. He's asking if there is a regulation stating a time that home station has to wait before any further mandatory training or assembly? I'm aware of civilian employment return timeframe so is there a reservist for BA equivalent? I haven't deployed or been asked this so I genuinely don't know.

AR 525-93 didn't specify.

Thank you for any guidance with this.

It is 90 days after you leave the mob/demob platform to return to HOR.
However, there are Yellow Ribbon 4/5 mandatory requirements (at an IDT or BA) that you have to attend no later than 90 days after redeployment, so the two regs are contradictory.

By personal experience, I know I didn’t have to report for 3 months. I just skipped one month and then report. Not sure if that has changed. As for a regulation, to be honest I never look because my chain of command were the ones who told me this. So I trusted them. Even when I showed up, they told me I didn’t have to be there...lol

That is what it was for me back in 2014, but like you I took a month off and then reported, I was cross leveled from my unit to another so when I got back my unit was getting ready to train up and deploy and my LTC wanted me to help them get up to speed, they were going over to relieve the unit that relieved me.

When I got back from deployment this year it was 90 days after all leave earned during the deployment had been used. We got back in March and I didn't attend BA until July. Those that wanted to attend before that had to sign something but not sure exactly what it was.
