ISIS threatens the Marines (and other US Military members, veterans and families)? Bring it, you disgusting cowards. I'm supposed to "minimize" my online footprint for my safety? Show up here and I'll put my "footprint" right up your @$$.

This is one reason I strongly believe that servicemen and women need to start visiting veteran support organizations (VFW, American Legions, Marine Corps League, DAV, etc.) to network and be unified. So many of us get out of the service and put it all behind us.

We have strength and power when we are unified.

The VFW's and Legions are STARVING for new members, young and old. Their numbers continue to dwindle, and it is a shame.

Freedom of Speech is something we swore to defend when we signed up to support the constitution. Sgt. Dakota Myers echoed similar thoughts, when this came up earlier!

I'm with you on the one Sgt Major. If we have to minimize our "footprint" in social media or not wear uniforms (or other things that ID us as servicemembers/veterans) in our country then we are losing the war. Has there ever been a time in our history commanders have suggested such things?

To paraphrase Franklin, those willing to trade liberty for security deserve neither.
