First, congratulations for making the smart decision to become a part of the best community in the Army. No “application” for this MOS. If you’re looking to reclassify into being a 35P, seek out your career counselor and he/she will walk you through the process. Requirements include an ASVAB score of 91, take a DLAB, and be eligible for a TS Clearance. Check out the current MILPER messages for IN/OUT CALLS and SRBs as well. There, you’ll be able to see what languages are in demand which will assist you with whichever direction you go. I am currently serving as a Drill Sergeant at DLIFLC. I see most MOS-Trained Soldiers attend for either Arabic or Russian. I do see a good handful in Spanish and French as well. No matter the language, I hope you’ve spoken to a current 35P about their experiences here because if not, I’ll tell you now, this course is the longest and most arduous (in my opinion) in the military. Learning a new language at the DLI pace and pass the DLPT with a 2/2/1+ (2+/2+/2 is on the horizon) within the 9-16 months is not for the faint of heart. However, if you put in the hard work and wake up everyday CHOOSING to give a damn about your career and those around you, you will increase your chances to be successful 10 fold. I hope this helps you with your future endeavors. If you have ANY questions at all, please let me know and I’ll do my best to assist you. Otherwise, I’ll see you soon!

Thank you Drill Sergeant.
I also want to reclass into 35P. I fluently speak 3 languages +English , do I still need to go DLI or I will straight go to Goodfellow AFB for the AIT ?
two of languages I speak are CAT3 , also took DLPT and I have them in my SRB.
I can still learn another language. Currently I'm thinking about Italian. In my opinion , it is easy one to learn.
Thank you Drill Sergeant
