Only if your MOS requires it or in some rare instance, your next duty assignament: only the Defense Attaché Program come to mind.

So I’m going to be signing my contract soon and I want to try to get the most out of it as I can, my main incentives for the army are education and experience, with pay/bonuses as a third. Oh made me realize I haven’t updated my profile, but yes I am currently enlisted and deployed with my first unit. I got an option 40 contract, didn’t make it into the 75th but hopefully will be trying again end of summer or so
