I am submitting my Army OCS board packet very soon. Is the APFT still the record test at OCS? I’ve read that students are already taking the ACFT at Basic Training. But is this for record?

Not for record yet. You do have to take two diagnostic ACFT's this year IOT prep for when it is official. I have my first for the fiscal year on 25 Feb.

APFT is the record test at the moment, however, the focus is shifting to prepare for the ACFT. The record ACFT will begin OCT 2020.

Our AMEDD BOLC class (20-201), the ACFT was for record. Originally we had to pass to graduate, but that was changed after we conducted the test. Those that failed had remedial PT and then had to pass a APFT for record.
