What are my PCS w/ TDY En route entitlements w/ dependents?

Team,
I will be PCSing to Fort Bliss, El Paso soon. I will also be TDY Enroute. I will be leaving Germany in May with dependents to touch ground at Bliss. Two weeks later I will be leaving to go to EOA course for 3 months. My actual report date to Bliss is not until October 10 but my DEROS is May 20. I know we can get Advance DLA and I can do an ETP for BAH so I can get full BAH while family is there at Bliss. Am I missing any other entitlements? Thank you.

Thank you Sir. Figured it was, just wanted to see if anyone on here knew off the top of their head. I figured that there were the regular entitlements didn't know if there were any special ones for TDY en route.

Well you are in luck I just did all of this almost exactly.. Even Bliss... jut diff TDY course.. So since you are not reporting until after your TDY course, your BAH will stay where its is till you report to Bliss. What i did was move the family to El Paso got the house unpacked etc etc. Went to school then came back over here and reported. I drove the fam down from Alaska so I made a lot of per diem. I'm sure you have learned about the TLA and whatnot from your levi brief. Our housing office paid for us to stay in a hotel on the losing end for a few days (completely separate from other pay). I do not currency receive bah because I live in government quarters in Germany. My family is traveling with me to EL pad on then I'm off to school two weeks later. I was told I had to do an ETP to get bah rate at bliss as I will not be able to in process and don't want to receive BAH II rate which is significantly less than BAH w/ dependent rate.

So you never got OHA or BAH at all? I know they take it all for housing but usually you can see how much you were making. Well if you do not have any housing pay then getting it started for Bliss will be the only way I guess (right at $1500 w/dep fyi). I will say be careful when trying to get it done, If they sign you into bliss your Orders will be null and void, had a Soldier learn that the hard way. If you need help I would talk to the welcome center [login to see] ) just make sure they understand you are not reporting, you are just moving your family here while you are TDY en-route.

Until the real brains on here can answer, you will get full BAH from some location. I received BAH while in school from where I went TDY in route from (Hawaii) but OHA is a different beast. I will add El Paso is my second favorite assignment (Germany #1).
