First off.... right now (in my opnion) is the worst to be pregnant within the army. This is my second child and I'm due in may. With my first the 6 months of recovery time almost wasnt enough (couldnt get my situps where I needed them) and adding to that I had a C-section so my recovery was completely different than a natural birth. Having this baby in may puts me eligible for a pt test in October, conveniently enough that's also when the ACFT is a full blown go. This will be a repeat c section and during pregnancy there is no way to train your body to do these events. The generic profile you get limits you to 20lbs. Yes there is a P3T program, as a instructor of that I am fully aware of what you can and cannot do. However, this entire year soldiers like myself have not been able to train for this and I honestly feel like we are now set up for failure, simply because of the timing of having a baby. I am wanting to know if there is any new regulation over this? I've asked and asked and searched and searched and have not found anything. I also wanted to know if there is a POC for these concerns? A survey or anything? I need hard answers not just opinions. We are expected to have 3 months to train up on a test that the rest of the army has had an entire year for.
I also do not think that getting a profile is the answer to this either.
