I just started the MEB process, and was told the VA will be doing everything telephonically. Will this benefit me in terms of ratings?

I feel that the VA doing Everything over the phone will work against me.

You’ll get what you deserve. Regardless if it’s over the phone. It’s going to be a while before you hear from them. It took them 4 months to get back to me on their proposed rating.

I agree with CPT Garbarini, should be same video or face-to-face.
You need to prepare your own claims so you submit a complete claim (all records & forms) AND prep for the C&P exam.
I highly recommend looking on YouTube for the "Combat Craig" channel. He is excellent at describing & telling you everything you'll need to have a successful claim! It sure helped me! Here's a link: https://youtu.be/cXbvcs-Pe7A
Good luck!

I just had my 1st video exam yesterday. It went really well! Just make sure you get everything they say you'll need (driver's license, print & sign the consent forms). In fact, I think this method works much better - as you don't have to drive!

No. You get rated based on the disability - that doesn't change by phone call or being face-to-face. Either way you get to express what is wrong/hurts and a doctor reviews your records.
