This has probably been asked 20 different times in 20 different ways, but I'm going to ask again. I am being assigned to an unaccompanied tour in Turkey. My husband will stay at Bragg. I think we are both authorized FSA, and he says no, only me. I have googled this and it is still unclear to me. Any guidance?

Thank you CSM. Now I have to tell MSG Wylie I was wrong, and that really hurts.
I just never knew I guess because our deployment schedules were so insane through the years, that I never knew we both didn't get it. Imagine the paperwork on that FSA with 14 different deployments between us.....

I get it, all military is challenging, through both of you into the mix and it does what one would think, doubles. It sounds like the two of you are doing well, keep it up, there is always a light. MAJ (Join to see)

maybe I'm wrong, but the way I always understood it was that you only got FSA if you were away from home, ie unaccompanied, deployed, long TDY etc.

Yes Sir, I think that's correct. I just wanted to make sure. And isn't it funny that you can ask this question and literally get a multitude of different responses? So, thank you.

Only the military spouse that is away, out of CONUS, receives the FSA.
