I have recently reenlisted for Hawaii and my report date is October of 2020. For background info, I am currently in Germany for a rotation and won't be back until mid July. I wanted to ask if I can push my orders back so I can have more time to get my personal stuff together and have time to decompress. I know, stupid on my part for not thinking this through. Thank you in advance.

Decompress from being in Germany is a chive assignment. You have plenty of time. You left out where you are currently stationed?

I don’t mean to sound overbearing, you should just get back and get ready to go. Hawaii is a challenging assignment while being one of the most relaxed places in the work. You can decompress there. SPC (Join to see)

You are given 10 business to clear installation. If you get back in July, you have plenty of time to ship HHG and POV. HRC is not going to push your report date to allow you to decompress. You’re in the army, get over it

Getting back in July with a report date in OCT? That is plenty of time and if you ask for more, expect some tough and/or deep questions why that is not enough time. Please do not answer them here, it is your business but be prepared for those that can make such a change to ask.
