does my deros have to match my ets date for leave?

hey so if im tryin to take 56 days of terminal leave my deros is 8 days after my ets date, in order to take leave based on my ets date do i need to get it changed or will i be good? if im not good how do i get it changed

When you turn in your leave and your separation is approved, your MPD will update your DEROS to match when you're leaving.
Your DEROS should not be past your ETS. Your previous assignment should have extended you to your DEROS prior to cutting your orders, so you're in an unusual situation
