Hello everyone, I am thinking about talking to National Guard recruiters in my state once I accumulate 90 credits in college, I have about a year and a half until then, (I have 45 credits). I was recently offered a good paying Security job for the DOE and I am waiting on my Q clearance (basically a DOE version of TS) to be completed. With having been offered that civilian security job, I would rather be National Guard since the civilian security job will pay double of what an active duty LT. would make. However I still would like to earn my commission as a Infantry Officer and enjoy both worlds so to say. The National Guard website says you can attend the State OCS of your respective state with 90 credits, can anybody confirm that? Thanks guys.

RallyPoint requires members to use their real names. Aliases, initials, joint names, email addresses, business promotions and fake names are not allowed. We know nicknames/callsigns are an important part of military culture and they may be annotated in quotations in conjunction with a first name. Profiles with fake names may be suspended and/or unverified unless changed. The link below has instructions on changing your name.

Why wait? Talk to ROTC and commission that way under a GRFD contract. Earn the degree while you work on commissioning. The minimum credit game is dangerous and can put you in a bad spot if you don't complete the degree.
