Will my pay for my deployment start immediately or will I have to wait a pay period before receiving my check?

which pay allowance? In general hazard pay, hostile fire pay, etc catch up the next pay cycle. Family sep has a minimum time period before it goes. Check the DFAS site for more information. If you can afford it, go take advantage of SDP unless you have a high interest debt to service.

Once you deploy on Active Orders, your pay periods will be the 1st and 15th of every month. Your pay starts on the day your orders start. But, again, the pay periods are the 1st and 15th of every month

Deployment pay or AD pay cause AD pay starts the 1st day you are on orders and deployment tax free and other incentives start once you reach in country. Check with you S1
