I received a call from my recruiter (Air Force) yesterday that meps dq’d me for a prior history of adhd (2013 last time on meds, I’m currently 17)

He said I was ok to get physical and said he’d call when he got date. He didn’t explain what that meant. When I go to meps and pass the physical do I get to swear in then or do I still need a waiver? I’m not too sure of this process. Thank you

Sounds like you are going to need a waiver. If you got DQd but still being allowed to take the physical, this sounds like you were not PDQ (permanently disqualified), but that you were DQd until such time as a waiver is submitted and pending approval of said waiver.

OK. So, I am not saying this *will* happen. But....
Way back when, when I enlisted, I had a number of disqualifiers. My recruiter told me to lie. About all of them. Don't do it. Don't. Make that recruiter do his doggone j-o-b and submit the waivers. Yes, it will take more time. But you don't want to either have to keep lying for your entire career (whether that is 4 years or 4 decades) or risk losing your career over fraudulent enlistment.

Sounds like you need a sit down with your recruiter to get your bearings. I would assume that they will be drafting a waiver for you for the ADHD but that would need to be confirmed by you so you understand the process.
