Just curious how that works. If you go and see a civilian doctor, they generally can access your prescription history. Can military/flight doctors or MEPS also access your prescription history?

Short answer is no. Real answer is YOU are required to disclose all things medical (physical, mental, surgeries, prescribed medications as well as over-the-counter medications). Failure to disclose will/can lead to a discharge once it's found out. This is your first chance to exercise intergrity, don't blow it, you won't be able to bounce back (in the military) if you fail this simple core value.....
Good luck to you....

Fair enough. I'm someone in excellent physical shape who got a precautionary inhaler once to combat dust at a musical festival after having a rough time with the dust the year before (as does everyone). Didn't even use it and worried about it causing more problems than it's worth. I don't mean to come off as someone without honor but just trying to navigate the bureaucracy of the system

John Kellen - Ahem... Needed an inhaler after a music festival? Dude, stop bullshitting. Own up to what you did and postpone your appointment due to family issues like the rest of the stoners did who needed "some time to grieve". FFS, GTFO Now.

Understood. Having to use an inhaler isn’t a diagnosis, nor is it a disqualification as long as it isn’t tied to a diagnosis of asthma. You’ll have plenty of time to navigate through the system (the correct way) once you’re in...good luck to you John Kellen

John Kellen - Dust is not something I have ever seen an inhaler used for and while I am not a pulm expert by any means, something does seem a little off. In the same token, SFC (Join to see) is correct that it is not a disqualification on its own. We give those meds for a variety of things, from lowering potassium to breaking up secretions. I suppose you could use an inhaler to reduce secretions caused by dust but less invasive options are drink more water and wear a mask.

Just tell the truth. No one wants a pilot that lies, that ends up killing people.
