Does anyone know the travel policy for service members right now?

I’m trying to take leave July 3rd-19th to spend some time with a couple family members that are not doing to well. I seem to be getting the run around by my chain of command. I submitted my leave packet 2 1/2 weeks ago and still no answer. I’m traveling to a state that restrictions have been lifted by the D.O.D.

All leave request must be submitted utilizing an ETP and MUST be signed by the first General Officer in your Chain of Command.

Per JBLM command during the virtual town hall tonight, the Army did not adopt the DOD guidance (on red and green areas). Army is maintaining the strict COVID standard requiring an ETP.

From the Army G-1 PCC: The OSD "installation gating criteria" provided at the following link puts installation status in a simple, easy-to read format with just the installation name, and a yes/no for state, country, and overall assessment. If you are traveling to an unrestricted location, you should be fine unless your installation is located within an area that has not been lifter or the installation has not lifted their internal stop move.
