As long as your DD 1610 authorizes you money for lodging you are fine. You’ll also need a statement of non availability from the course saying there are no rooms, or something similar stating that you will be lodged in barracks.
If your 1610 does not authorize lodging expenses, the Army will not reimburse you

SPC (Join to see) the memo is to authorize the funding on the 1610. If it already gives you the money then you’re good. Military lodging is usually around $50 a day. Make sure the lodging expense at the hotel matches the amount your 1610 authorized

Consider joining IHG rewards club if your AIT lodging is at Candlewood. Your hotel stay for military training could count towards upgraded status and points for future personal use (If using government credit card in your name).

If that is where your room reservation is, then you enjoy the comforts of a hotel and not the barracks.

SPC (Join to see) - As long as you check into the hotel on the day the DTS says, you're good to go.
