I have never been there, but my brother was stationed at Wainwright and loved it. He fell in love with Alaska, as well.

So i'm going to be funny here, but still true story. Many, many, many years ago my grandfather was Active Duty and stationed in Alaska. He then got a posting to Junction City, Kansas.
My Grandmother cried, and cried, and cried, and cried.................
