What should happen if I pass Airborne School, but fail RASP?

Hello 79R's/Recruiters of RallyPoint, I hope you guys are doing well. Being a potential recruit/trainee and going in with an option 4 contract (airborne) and possibly signing up for RASP during Airborne School, I have to ask, if I should graduate Airborne School, but fail RASP, what are my chances of still going to an airborne unit? I understand failure means being swept up into the needs of the Army, but even with that airborne qualification, if I should fail RASP, would they still put me in a leg/non-airborne unit? As much as I despise my own failures, this is a curious question that has been stuck on my mind. I hope you would be able to indulge my curiosity. Either way, I hope you are all doing well.

This is the way you want to do it. Most people will fail RASP and if you volunteer in Airborne school you’ll most likely be sent to an Airborne unit if you fail. People who enlist Option 40 go to RASP before Airborne and when they fail they end up all over the Army.

If I may ask Sergeant, many have noted, failure/quitting should be farthest from your mind. But I’ve had the honor of listening to both Jack Murphy and Nick “Reaper” Irving (both Ranger vets themselves), both of them have said that anyone who said that they never thought about quitting were lying.
How do you keep quitting out of your mind when people of their caliber have admitted to wanting to give in at those moments?

Jake Lang LOL you can’t keep quitting out of your mind, it’s there constantly sitting next to the constant pain and fatigue.

The Army has somewhat recently changed the order of schools. If you get Option 40 in your contract (Airborne Ranger) you will have to successfully pass RASP before you go to Airborne school. Gone are the days of jumping then RASP.

What happens if you fail the RASP? Do they usually give you another chance like recycling or they just kick you out from the RASP? I heard RASP, they dont usually kick the soldier out, they just recycled until they make it through, but I wanna make sure if that info is correct. And last question is what is the main reason why people kicked out or quit.

All due respect Master Sergeant, things have changed as of the way the Army processes you through the pipeline, and although the I’ve visited the link above and it has stated what everyone already knew, it didn’t quite answer the current question I had. Thanks for your input.
