The military offers alot of its surplus gear to the highest bidder in online auction sites. If you ever bid and won an item, what was that experience like? Did you get a good deal or ripped off? What did you win? Would you recommend similar auction sites to others?

Where we parked depends on where aircraft were certified, where we could obtain good quality maintenance / overhaul / fuel at the lowest price, who was willing to provide the required equipment / supplies / personnel, and where the aid was needed.
