A community outpatient based clinic (CBOC) can be created if there is not a enough patients in a given area. One way to get this done is to have multiple people contact their Congressional Representative and push for it. Now with the Veterans Choice Program in affect they may wish more to push you on to that side of the house. Full fledge VA Hospitals, are normally married at the hip of a medical university, so I would not expect one if there isn't medical university near you. I hope that helps.

To my knowledge there are only VA hospitals in MS, no CBOCs. If there were a few in the state, i think more veterans would access the VA hospital/clinics. I also heard that Veterans Choice was ending soon if not already.

Are you saying there are no clinics in Mississippi? In either case you can contact the state office to determine where the closest clinic is.
