I was receiving a regular va disability pay at 90% now it shows I’m at 100% with something called special monthly compensation (s1). Just want to know if they are the same things?

For Veterans, Special Monthly Compensation is a higher rate of compensation paid due to special circumstances such as the need of aid and attendance by another person or by specific disability, such as loss of use of one hand or leg.

Not exactly sure what you are referring to as S1 Pay. I received disability and I drill for points only and only received pay when attending AT.

Here is a link that might explain that. But there is a lot more info out there.
