I know these 2 MOS are completely different from each other but I like them both. I don’t know which one. Please give me some advice.

My advice is think about the type of person you are, and where you want to be post military. If you want to help people and enjoy learning medic might be a good option. If you want to focus more on war fighting 13F might be better. Either way I highly recommend obtaining an OP 40. If you have specific questions about 68W let me know.

Absolutely man. 68W training is roughly 4 months. 2 months are spent becoming an NREMT-B and two months are focused on combat medicine. When you get to your unit there are numerous roles to fill. The most common are in a hospital or clinic assisting a provider, on an evacuation platform/field hospital, or being with a maneuver unit, infantry, armor, arty, etc (everyone needs medics). What you do depends entirely on the unit you’re assigned, which is random unless you get an option 4 (airborne unit) or option 40 (ranger batt). Airborne bases tend to be around bigger bases and thus have more schooling/career progression for the most part, with a few exceptions. Ranger medics are without a doubt some of the best in the army, but requires extremely high levels of physical fitness, motivation and intelligence. Roger Smith

Do you mind going to college to get promoted? Medic points are higher typically, therefore, to advance, civilian school needs to be in your plans.
