Why does in processing take so long for prior service in Fort Carson?

I'm a prior Service with three years, I reported here at Fort Carson. My buddy here said it took three months to get paid for PS. Why is the process for finance, and getting to A unit backed up here?

As far as your travel voucher getting paid: The finance office only certifies that your packet looks ok. The Replacement Center sends it to DFAS on your behalf. I was paid within 3 weeks. you also don't have to go this route. if you know the documents you need, you can submit it yourself online or through email. You would just need to obtain the finance signature which as of right now: they are closed to in person visits. Their policy used to be they could take 50 newcomers a day Due to Covid requirements, this number has reduced drastically.
