Actually, it hasn't affected me in the least. We never go anywhere for Thanksgiving or Christmas. We prefer to have ours in our own home. Many of my colleagues are cancelling travel to relatives. Just wonder what the majority of folks are doing.

We have a much smaller gathering than we normally do.

Not affected. Ironically, this is the first time since 2013 that the Wife, our 3 kids and myself are all together and not thousands of miles apart. We will doing the meal on Wed, due to both of us working Thanksgiving Day.

We had out Thanksgiving last Saturday. Two of my children are working on Thanksgiving and the third is two-hundred-fifty miles away. I will take the little lady out for dinner someplace. I don't think she needs to make two huge meals; she had enough to do taking care of me!

As I have thought about travel at this time, I would ask that people really use this information as a basis for their decision. Hospitals, medical clinics and services are normally operated with a skeleton crew and limited resources during holidays and other slow periods, beds are always at a limited capacity. You take a big chance that everything will run smooth but with normal emergencies added to the pandemic, travelers could see the availability of these exhausted quickly. I know the love of family and family meals at Thanksgiving are viewed as enjoyable; but, is 2020 the right time to put you and your family at risk of exposure and the unavailability of medical staff and services should they be needed. In addition, there are the before precautions, arrival precautions, and return precautions that must be taken to ensure the safety of yourself and family members traveling with you and at the places you plan to visit. Is it worth it, can it wait. Weigh the pros and cons.

I fully agree with you. Nothing is so pressing that it can't wait, especially when it comes to using our leisure time. Use common sense and always weigh the pros and cons and how it can have an impact on your family; as well as, the ones you plan to visit. with contacting the virus, there is all the quantining days required that your visitation will be over before you are able to spend any quality time together and then you need to ensure you are safe and able to mingle at work and with family once you return home.
