I'm a US citizen, I was born and lived in Florida for a time but my family has since left the States and moved elsewhere. Now, as my time at university draws to a close, I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to apply for OCS from outside the country (I currently reside in the United Kingdom), or if it requires me to move state-side before I begin the process. Any tips/ advice would be much appreciated.

The normal OCS enlistment process is interview with the recruiter, build the application, test, physical, back ground checks, educational evaluation, and interview with an OCS selection board usually held at the Recruiting Battalion Headquarters. Achieving all that you would go back to MEPS and get your school dates. Frankly, you are going to have to come back to the US to get all that done. Best of Luck!

Or they could just take a day trip to Germany and speak to the recruiters there....

I believe the Recruiters in Europe still send you back to New York to go to MEPS.

Alexander Wiltshire … You've got to speak with a Recruiter... you'll have to go through all the paperwork/background check, etc. If you're qualified & want to pursue it, go for it!

A year ago, I happened upon a West Point grad who had left the Army as a helicopter pilot. When I asked about his different accent; he had grown up in Australia as an American. Somehow, he had managed to be accepted to and then graduated from West Point.
