I came across this yesterday and thought that with the end of the VE celebrations going on this would make a good follow up.

One young man did this out of respect for those who made the D Day landings on the Normandy beaches.

What are your thoughts about this young man's actions RallyPoint?

Charles we have wankers on this site who actually look down at this kind of thing. They are part of the problem and why some young GIs do not respect the customs and traditions of this country. They would rather debate the authenticity of the Muslim baker video refusing service to the gay couple. They are the reason that American Exceptionalism has gone the way of the crack pipe.

This is an act that speaks to values that are trampled by narcissists and fools and some leaders who accommodate such travesties. That guy in the video saying there is nothing exceptional about America is an actor and this is where they get their news.

This boy is a patriot and more of a man than those who puts cigarette butts out on the flag.

We always have some who learn honor and respect at an early age.

There have always been parts of this story that just didn't add up for me...not the least of which is that the father was ready to video the whole thing...but I am glad he was willing to draw some positive attention to the sacrifice of those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
