I was employed for 37 years and no blemishes on my record. I'm 50% disabled. Company does DoD lift and Air Force engine work. How should I go about the complaint.

Hire an attorney. Gather your notes and provide to them. Too many variables to say. Termination for cause and constructive discharge are different, but only a Court can rule. There are laws in general for employers, and special ones for DOD contractors. ADA may apply, depending. If you goofed they fired you, if you were never allowed to return to work, that could be constructive discharge. If you were Union, they should arbitrate for you, if it's an obvious injustice.

Contact Tae Sture. He is a retired EEO CSM turned employment attorney. He represented us successfully in a wrongful termination case against the VA. I believe he is honest enough give you his candid opinions. Tell him that MAJ Landgren said hello. Document everything. Create a log book. Print off emails. We found out the more information we had, it helped him win our case. http://www.sturelaw.com/

Good luck. I know situations like this can be very tough when it seems everyone is against you, and you invariably take this home with you. After we won the case he confided that he only took the case because he felt we would win. :) SSgt Mark Ashi
