What are the best duty stations/light units to go to as a combat engineer and have a chance of deploying?

If you want to deploy number one choice is 75th Ranger Regiment. Second choice is 18th Airborne Corps ie Bragg, Stewart, Campbell, Drum, Polk

All of them. At the end of the day is about the luck of th draw! Big Army has, based on operational tempo and mission requirements a unit squedule somewhere out there. I’m keeping this thing simple, ok! And if you happen to be assigned to one of those units, then you deploy. Or.... if you are due for a PCS, must likely you’ll end up filling one of those units as they get ready for their deployment. Again, this is a Barney style explanation of Manning cycles, filling for pre-deployments, etc... there’s a lot more into it.

Much appreciated Sir! Definitely more information than a SPC like myself would normally get. Would my division G3 have that info on the patch chart or would I have to go higher?

Thank you for the info Sir! I am currently in my window to re-enlist and have less than a year on my contract. Only problem I would have with just waiting and filling a slot that big army needs filled is that with my MOS I would end up coming down on orders to Korea.

Well SPC (Join to see), then take the initiative and hit first. Reenlist with a choice of duty station!

SPC (Join to see) - Division G3. Your BDE or BN S3 may also have access to the patch chart.
