Can a soldier go to a WTU once the MEB process has started?

Recently my command sent up a packet for me to go to a Warrior Transition Unit, it got accepted and I was waiting to hear back for more information. Today I was told I did not get accepted and I will be staying with this unit which doesn't sit right with me.

It doesn't need to sit right with you, the WTU isn't for Soldiers who have started the MEB process. The WTU is for Soldiers receiving long term treatment or recovery. You're going to be out of the Army in six months, your only focus now is your MEB and SFLTAP appointments

WTU is for those that can be helped and maintained in the service. MEB say that you are too hurt/damaged to stay in the service. MEB- overrides WTU.
