What's the best way to find people from the time you were in the service?

Not sure that I should make a plug for another site, but TogetherWeServed.com may be a good place to start. When you complete your profile on their site, you list units you have served with and dates. The site then provides you with the names of other members who served in that unit and their dates. Might work for you. Good luck!

I've tried them. Not any solid leads there either. I think many just don't want to be found.

Unfortunately, RallyPoint has the most clunky, and unintuitive user interface I've ever seen. I tried looking for old friends, but got bullshit! Trying to update your profile is equally clunky and unintuitive
