Request a transfer to ING, should just be a 4187, for 12 months.
You will get no points for those 12 months.
You will eventually get a transfer order to ING, but your unit can write a memo for your employer.
You will need another 4187 to come back from the ING.

IIRC You will get 15 points for membership, but none for drill you don't perform. Nor will the year count toward retirement. But it holds a slot for you.

Depends on the length of your contract and how many points you will be able to accumulate. You need 50 points for a good year. You have a few options: 1. Talk to your CoC about completing split drills in between your contract. 2. Talk to your CoC about splitting drills with a unit wherever you are contracted. 3. Drop to IRR or ING.

I appreciate the response, the contract would be for the length of a full year in the middle east, and DynCorp is requesting a temporary letter of release from military service to work for them. I have no idea what form they are referring to, and not one person in my CoC has a clue to it either; the only form I can locate that may work is the DD Form 368. However, I believe that form only applies to a change in the service member's current service branch.

SGT (Join to see) - I would get with your chain of command to drop to IRR or ING status. A DD 368 is a conditional release to process into another service or component; it isn't really applicable here. After you drop to IRR or ING, have your commander draft a Memo for Record (MFR) stating that "SGT Jacob Robinson is on IRR/ING status beginning DATE until DATE." That should meet the requirement for DynCorp, however, if they want something different, just ask the DynCorp recruiter.
