68 CMF.... What do you think about the publishing of the ALARACT message today about the ALC requirements ?

The requirement stated that you must complete Common Core before ALC and if you don't your already existing date will be deleted and rescheduled.

I agree with the requirement of completing common core first. As NCOs, we need to take control of our careers. Common core only prepares you for what's coming next.

SFC what about the fact that they are no longer accepting E-5 until all E-6's are done. Should we hold up SGTs progression?

I don't agree with holding anyone back. This is why the Army is starting to kick out these substandard SSGs and SFCs. It's a process and it takes time. I know this sucks at the moment because you are just waiting.
Who said they are taking any SGTs in ALC? I just sent my SGT to ALC and he isn't promotable. Your 1SG or CSM can make calls to the school and get you in.
