I'm an 88M and I wanted to know how am I able to obtain my cdl license in Georgia, what's the whole process to it?

PFC (Join to see) - some installations had the ability to train for the CDL at DOL (now LRC). Command has to sign off on a mission where the CDL was required. You'd then test at the DMV for the license and the unit would reimburse if you passed. Talk to your first line and the NCO Support Channel.

If you're active duty it's fairly easy. Get licensed on as many vehicles as you can. Look at GA DMV or whatever state you're licensed in for the DMV website. Each state has some type of benefit to help you get your CDL. They'll have a few forms to fill out. One is a commanders endorsement, basically your CO signing off that in the past year you operated the equipment, and another form for you to cross reference your military license and shows what equipment is equivalent to which CDL level. just did mine last November in CA. Had to do the written test but the other documents waived the driving portion. Reserves and NG personnel can do it too, just need a DD 214 from within the past 12 months
