Me and my wife are trying to figure out if we’d be eligible for a curtailment, and report to our projected duty station sooner. She’s not getting good care at all, and due to that, we’re both staying miserable. Has anyone gotten a compassionate reassignment or a curtailment due to something similar?
We do have projections. No hard orders yet?

You would need to reference the regulation, but the short answer is no because it’s not a condition that is resolvable in within 1-2 years.

If her care is not to par, you can change medical to Tricare Select

So, we wouldn’t be eligible for a compassionate reassignment nor a curtailment.?

No. Curtailments aren’t as easy to get as they sound, and what you believe to be poor care isn’t justification for one.SPC (Join to see)

Talk to the Chaplains. They tend to have all the correct and latest gouge on this kind of stuff, and usually a letter from them helps any package you might need to put together. All the best.

I have heard of rotating early due to medical problems.

SPC (Join to see) - The only way for medical to work is for non availability of services needed for the condition and that the condition will be long term.
