I'm a brand new transfer to the Air National Guard from the ARNG. I served 9 years with the army and got a right sleeve patch from a deployment. I have all the paper work for it too. Since the AF uses OCP uniforms now, can I still wear the army patch on right side? I've seen conflicting things online. If yes, is there a reg reference

Yep! I got a bunch of stuff from the navy that for 5 years I could not wear because Navy regulations prevented it. However, they have since amended the regulations guiding that.

Many people don't understand that the service that you earned patches, badges, etc decides where and how it they are worn.

AFI 36-2903 “Combat patch,” applies ONLY to Soldiers. If an Airman was previously a Soldier in
the U.S. Army and was authorized the wear of shoulder sleeve insignia-former wartime service
IAW with AR 670-1, they may wear it in addition to the mandatory Air Force higher
headquarters patch on the left sleeve.
