About to finish my first year in the Regular Army @South Korea and I am attempting to expedite my growth by drawing from your well of experience~!

After my first year, I have noticed a lot of photocopying over Army forms to alter them. Can't find any regulations against it, but puzzled when I have a hard to read photocopy and the Army Publications original is not accepted by my installation/unit. Oddly have found some forms unlocked and are used for day to day business, is this acceptable?

Thank you very much for your perspective,
PFC TA

Each form has a specific regulation that covers it's usage. You can generally find this information at the top of a form, usually listed under "authority".

To change a regulation you submit a DA Form 2028. As SFC Stephen H. points out, forms have been hidden in plain site on APD for years

Thank you very much for everyone's wisdom~! It makes it easier to enforce the regulations when I am able to relay the forest amongst the trees when upholding them. Thank you very much!

Conclusion: Authority at the top of a form supports which portion of the law supports them. For example:
