Sad but it is more cost effective to do that when you have greedy unions and idiotic governmental policies that deliberately stifle progress and improvement. Makes no sense to me, both logically and financially. It would be like have $100,000 in a ROTH IRA then saying I'm going to try to grow the account by withdrawing $50,000. Makes absolutely no sense.

Not just those two but also greedy people who think they deserve $15 an hour. Ridiculous.

Question is why would anyone want to make min wage for the rest of your life? If you are a high school student, I can see you making min. wage. But, if you are a 30 yr old making min. wage, you have no one to blame but yourself and therefore should not complain. We as servicemembers do more in a hour what these burger flippers do in a lifetime. So why not give us the $15 an hour, and there fast food workers can continue to thrive in mediocrity

Most fast food employees where I'm from are rude, so I prefer this method.

It is about time people see the cause and effect of wanting hire wages for the same work. This makes perfect business sense. The better part is the IT person who will be on site will get paid $25 an hour ro make sure the machines don't go down.

For those that didn't like the original post, it was a point of humor and a take on a previous discussion forum many of us had participated in about the ridiculousness of giving a fast food part time employee a $15 minimum wage.

If you took it personal and didn't like the picture, please feel free to vote it down, but at least have the courtesy to justify and explain to the rest of us why it is not liked or in bad taste as you may see it.

Thank you to all who got the point and agreed and liked it for what it was, slight humor.

Dang Im hungry...Thanks SSG Pabon lol ;)

Really though, I'm not saying to pay them $15 an hour but I will call it like I see it. They still stand on their feet and work for up to 10 hours a day doing one of the worst jobs out there: serving rude people and cleaning up after their disgusting kids. They choose to do it so that's fine but for people to keep acting like their job isn't that hard...I just can't agree. I mean, I'm not about to clean up after your kids throwing food everywhere and running around getting ketchup stains on everything...lol I got off topic sorry!

When I deployed in 2011, we ordered replacement clothes online and got them in the mail. CIF may be heading that way

I can't believe this was not thought of sooner. But you will always have the BK or McD's employee to mess up you order or not give you the sauce you asked for. But ya, they deserve $15 an hour, and I deserve $50. Wouldn't deployment be wonderful then!

I see it as a good thing. If I'm going to be ignored by an automaton, I'd prefer that I didn't pay for its crappy education, kids, and listen to it demand more money for jobs that aren't meant for them to raise said kids on.

See the glorious Carls Jr touch screen menu I ran across on a road trip to Oklahoma. I talked to the manager and she said that they had to do this, as they can't trust many who live in the area to handle cash (meth) and they can't find enough people to work there due to the limited labor pool in their small town.

Can't the geniuses who drive for $15 minimum wage just all magically become skilled technicians who can design, test, build and install their robot replacements? They'd then have the skills that demand higher wages, feel satisfied in their accomplishment, and provide a more stable future for their family.

If people think increasing minimum wage is a way to stick it to the wealthy, I have a question. How many Big Mac's do you think people who make high salaries eat? These increases will punish those who can afford it the least, both in terms of hours worked and the cost increases to feed their family.

I'm shocked that there are so many sympathizers to this in a military forum. We all came from, or are still a part of, the worlds finest MERITOCRACY. We all have experienced moments in our careers where someone has received something that they didnt earn (recognition, promotion, etc) and we lose our friggin' minds. Why then do you apply a different set of sympathies to those who've managed to become adults with the skillset of a teenager? Arguing to lower the bar is contradictory to MY experience, but that may be due to me not being a member of the current military generation.

As soon as folks demand more than market-value, business will engineer around the problem. You could see this coming 100 clicks away.
