You don't get your choice of anything when you volunteer for drill. But if you're thinking of drill, better to volunteer for it now than be pulled onto the Recruiting levy in the future. Once that happens, there is no volunteering for Drill

SFC (Join to see) not your branch, drill branch. Your branch will just use you to fill the Drill levy and has no say where you go after. Drill Branch has all authority over your assignment location.

SFC (Join to see) to volunteer, yes. Not for the assignment afterwards. Once you are accessed into Drill Branch you belong to them until your tour is over.

Once you get chosen for Drill Sergeant, you can request a duty station. Just contact the Drill Sergeant team at HRC. Saw a few people get their assignment changed while we were in the academy. So it is possible

Plus it might be better to request it while you're in the academy as well. Your DSLs can help you it
