I am putting together recipes from my travels in the military...Anyone have some favorite recipes that you would share?

I have kabobs from Turkey, Fish and Chips from England, Plaintains from Cuba, Tex-Mex recipes from when I was stationed in Texas. I am looking for more recipes from overseas, or if you have advice where I can find unique recipes please comment or send them to me. Thanks for your help!

Spotzel and red cabbage from Germany... some great recipes on http://allrecipes.com/ so I won't re-type.
