Hello,
I will be transitioning from active duty to the TX National Guard and the unit is C.Co, 2nd BN, 149th AV Regiment. Just wanted to get an idea of what a 25U20 would do in the unit. Although I'm a 25U, most active duty time was spent doing IT, 25B type work.

You should be good... Aviation is a different animal, though. Laid back... Even moreso in the Guard, but they're a capable crew. They get called up during emergencies like hurricanes and stuff. Never went downrange with them but by all accounts, they do their thing out there too.

Sgt (Join to see) It varies year to year, depending on what's coming down the pipe (deployments, other missions). My last year there, we did home station but the new commander didn't really care for it so I don't think that's going to happen under his command again...

I did my 3 years from 2015-2018 and popped smoke. Living the full fledge civilian life now

Sgt (Join to see) Yeah, not too bad. I liked the previous commander that was there when I arrived in 2015, but didn't care for his replacement. Not sure if he's still there though... Are you going there?
