Will the APFT required for the MFT course count as a record for SGT/SSGs? In other words will it be worth promotion points?

I've never known an APFT conducted at a course to be counted as a Record for their home unit. At least, none of mine did from my NCOES/PME courses.

Not knowing the exact process, but I suspect the driver of "record" APFT/ACFT test is going to be if it is updated in DTS or not, and of course the home unit is going to have dibs on that process for the soldier. Yes?

An order to attend MFT Soldiers must score a 240 on their APFT (minimum of 70 in each event) within the 30 days. That being said, Soldiers must take the APFT at their home unit prior to attending the actual course therefore would it then could as a record?

SSG (Join to see) - But that was prior to ACFT. It would behoove those that want to know to contact the school house that conducts MFT to see if the APFT is still the standard or if the ACFT is now the standard and what the required score is. One should find this out before finding out if it will be for record or not.

The Army currently has no test of record. The only time an APFT will count is if someone is flagged for not having a passing one. They can take one to remove the flag. The ACFT will eventually be the test of record but as of now they are all diagnostics. None are for record.
