I thought about re-enlisting and I was wondering if I could PCS to my new station early. Say if I re-enlisted for another 4 years, could my new contract override my current contract? How does it work?

When you reenlist your new contract starts on the day of your reenlistment. Your report date has nothing to do with your reenlistment date.

When you request a duty station it is usually has a report date 6-9 months away, unless you are OCONUS then it's within 60 days of DEROS.

PV2 (Join to see) NO... you'll leave when the ARMY orders you to leave...IMO. Why are you considering re-enlisting if your a PV2?

Sergeant, I was just wondering because I have about 15 or 16 months left on this initial contract.

You will get a set of orders and those orders generally have a no earlier and no later than date assigned to him for reporting. There is a process to it. You can't just punch out and leave the day after re-enlisting.
