I just read an interesting article by Lou Adler, "Do You Possess the Big Five Traits of Success?"

Of these five traits, which do you find most important?

1. Passion: a love for the work you’re doing.
2. Talent: the ability to do outstanding work.
3. Team Skills: the ability to influence, organize, develop, lead and cooperate with others.
4. Thinking: the ability to apply a person’s SKAs for planning, problem solving, seeing out of the box and decision making.
5. Perseverance: the fortitude and commitment to get the job done regardless of the circumstances.

A true leader, is a person who takes in all the good and bad----- and makes an even playing field for all to accept!! Worked for many Chiefs in the AF, that I came in contact with!

I've heard integrity defined as doing the right thing, even when nobody is looking. I think that goes right along with this definition.

I see to many individuals use leadership positions as champain opportunities instead of a genuine passion to inspire and mentor others. "Because of deep love one is courageous. Because of frugality one is generous. Because of not daring to be ahead of the world one becomes the leader of the world" -Lao Tzu
