I have some of my senior NCO’s saying they can and some saying they can’t. I read the regulation and it doesn’t specify. It says it just has to compliment the SM’s skin tone.

No, AR 670-1 and ALARACT 015/2021.
One solid color only.
French manicure is specifically listed as not authorized in the ALARACT.

Never seen this green highlight before.
I think we'll need a mod to answer this one.

Absolutely not. " French Manicure" is specifically listed as "EXTREME" and expressly prohibited.

3.G. (U) AMEND PARAGRAPH 3–2C TO AUTHORIZE FEMALE SOLDIERS TO WEAR SOLID COLOR SHADES OF NAIL POLISH THAT ARE NOT EXTREME. EXTREME COLORS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, PURPLE, BRIGHT PINK, RED, GOLD, BLUE, BLACK, HOT PINK, GREEN, YELLOW, OMBRE AND FLUORESCENT/NEON COLORS, TO INCLUDE FRENCH MANICURE. COLORS THAT ARE AUTHORIZED TO WEAR INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, NUDE/NATURAL SHADES, AMERICAN MANICURE, AND LIGHT PINK. NAIL SHAPES THAT ARE EXTREME AND NOT AUTHORIZED ARE BALLERINA, STILETTO, ARROW, AND COFFIN. SQUARE AND ROUNDED NAILS ARE AUTHORIZED. MALE SOLDIERS ARE AUTHORIZED TO WEAR CLEAR NAIL POLISH WHILE IN SERVICE UNIFORMS. NAILS WILL NOT EXCEED ¼ INCH FROM THE TIP OF THE FINGER.

The answer is posted below. Ignore anyone who says it's open to interpretation. It's not. Tell your SNCOs to read all the updates to 670-1 because that never changed.

I didn’t think they were authorized and when I looked at the Regulations I didn’t see the same one as SFC Hasburn posted. It didn’t go that far into detail.

SSG (Join to see) - That's an ALARACT because they changed some things after the new 670-1 was published. So they issued the ALARACT which probably expires when 670-1 is updated again with that same information.

I'm just saying there are some people who posted on here who have no clue what they're talking about.
