If I get promoted before my report date for an OCONUS assignment, will my orders be changed or deleted for something new?

I got put on orders to do an oconus assignment. I got slotted for an E5 position it says. If I pick up rank before the report date will my orders be changed or deleted for something new?

If HRC placed you on assignment you can email your branch manager to ask them to validate the slot for your position and your branch can reslot your for your correct rank. If it's not available you could ask for a different location.
The reality, however, is that you are an 88M2 soon to be an 88M3, there will be a position open at the Brigade, or Division, or post that you're going to. If there's not, adding one more won't drastically skew the location strengths.
It doesn't matter whether you are slotted in an E5 or E6 position, it won't affect where you are placed when you arrive. When you arrive to your brigade, the Brigade strength manager will decide where to place you
