If I’m switching one year of my ETS can I join the Army reserve early?

I seen something on the army reserve website about being able to transition to reserve service up to 6 months early. Just making an inquiry into this i ETS in the next year and looking into my options

You can sign your Reserve contract up to six months prior to your ETS.

Talk to retention or a Reserves recruiter. I would advise you find a unit near where you will live after you ETS and see if its a job you want to do. Rather than sign a contract, you can sign a 4187 to move from IRR to Reserves to do your IRR time as a drilling reservist.
