My ETS leave balance is projected to be 83. I'm ETSing in Feburary next year. The reason that I'm selling leaves back is because my internship (through Skill Bridge) will leave me only one month to clear. However, my 1SG just informed me that only 60 days of leave can be sold back even with SLA's. Just trying to confirm. Called local pay office for two days, but no answer.

If you can work it in, take the extra leave and use the time to make the initial adjustments, and movements to civilian life. Like moving stored property to your home of record, or maybe take a educational seminar, something...because you get leave rats, and full allowances as opposed to just selling it back for base pay.

As others have cited, the 60 day sell back limit has existed for years, and while there have been waivers in the past, they were because of situations you would not be qualified to use.
One thought, since you are already committed to the internship, are there any clearing tasks that could be eliminated or expedited to allow for using some of the excess leave?
